4-H dates to remember

4-H Candy Sale
Our 4-H fundraiser will take place in March.  The candy will be World’s Finest.  It will have a Snappy Tomato coupon on each wrapper.  Each bar will sell for $1. We ask that all 4-H members sell or give a donation in place of selling. Please help us make 4-H awards and recognition possible for 2011-2012!

4-H Talent Show
Don’t forget that the 4-H Talent show is scheduled for Friday, March 25, at 6:30 p.m. The location will be at the Springfield Opera House.  The deadline for registering to perform
 March 22. Forms are available from 4-H Leaders or the extension office.
The four categories for specialty acts are: Vocal, Instrumental, Physical Skills - Dancing, Gymnastics, etc., Theatrical - Comedy, Drama, or lip sync, Specialty Acts - 1 to 4 people.  You may also enter a Club Act with 5 or more people.

4-H Camp
4-H Camp is scheduled for June 28 – July 1.
The cost for 4-H Camp will be $155.  Camp forms are due to the extension office by June 1.   Camp will cost $160 if forms are turned in after the June 1 deadline.  You may go ahead and make a $25 deposit to hold your place. Pre-register by April 15 and be entered in a drawing for a $50 Wal-Mart gift card. The rest of the fee will be due by June 1.   In the meantime, start saving your money and be thinking warm thoughts!
 

Project Club Meeting Dates
The 4-H Hooves and Horns club will be holding their next meeting on Feb. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the extension office.  Other dates are March 8, March 14 and March 22. Call for more information
4-H Sewing club members are currently working on their projects for the 4-H Youth Fair and the 4-H Fashion Revue.  The next sewing lessons are scheduled for Saturday, February 26, March 12, and March 26.
