A Taylor County man has been arrested in connection with a rape that allegedly occurred earlier this year.
According to a news release from the Campbellsville Police Department, Jeffery Watson, 41, of 337 Puryear Road, was arrested and charged with third degree rape following an investigation by the Campbellsville Police Department and the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation was initiated on Nov. 16, according to the release. The rape allegedly took place in July of this year, according to the release.
Watson was released on a $5,000 bond.
The case was investigated by officer Ben Riggs of the Campbellsville Police Department and deputy Brian Pickard of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office.
