Accident claims local man’s life

Kentucky State Trooper Fred Cornett is investigating a one- vehicle fatal collision that occurred at approximately 2:50 a.m. on Feb. 18, two miles north of Willisburg on KY 53. 

The collision occurred when 21-year-old Michael Sallee, of Mackville, was operating a 1995 Ford southbound on KY 53.  
For unknown reasons, Sallee dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway, struck the guardrail and then a tree.  
Sallee was belted at the time of the collision.  
Sallee was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Washington County Coroner.
