The third-fourth-grade Springfield Colts and the fifth-sixth-grade Springfield Steelers each made it to the championship game of their division this past Saturday at Campbellsville University, and the Steelers brought a title back to Washington County.
The Colts took on the Marion County Cowboys in the first game, falling by a score of 20-7, with all of the scoring coming in the first half.
The Steelers turned the scoreboard around on the Lebanon Raiders, picking up a 20-7 and a league championship for the hometown youngsters.
