Amy Frances Dean Key, 84

Amy Frances Dean Key, age 84, of Springfield, passed away at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center.

A native of Washington County, she was born on Nov. 28, 1927 to the late Rufus and Mary Benham Weakley.
She was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Arvel Dean on Jan. 19, 1994; a daughter, Mary Frances Sagracy on Oct. 1, 2011; two brothers, Clarence Weakley and Rufus Cecil Weakley; and three sisters, Edith Carney, Pauline Holderman and Loraine Weakley.
Survivors include her husband, Oran Key; two grandchildren, Amy Thompson and her husband, Anthony of Mackville and James Sagracy of Springfield; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Amber Thompson; two brothers, James Darrol Weakley and Jimmy Joe Weakley, both of Springfield; and three sisters, Brenda Weakley and Shirley Montgomery, both of Louisville and Margie Woford of Bardstown.
Funeral services were held at  noon on Friday, Feb. 17  at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Estes, pastor of the Beech Grove Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were James Bottom, Buford Bottom and Billy Burns.
Casket bearers were James Sagracy, Norman Turner, Dalton Coyle, William Graves, Billy Edwards and Reid Matherly.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
