Artelle June Newnam, 91

Artelle June Newnam, age 91, formerly of Lincoln Park Road, Springfield, passed away at noon, Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at the Life Care Center in Bardstown.
A native of Hastings, Mich., she was born June 8, 1920 to the late Arthur William and Matilda Smelker Bedford.
She was a former floral designer for Howard & Heafy Florist of Lexington.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, William H. Frost; her second husband, Jack L. Newnam; and two brothers, George and Bernard Bedford.
Survivors include her son, William Frost, and his wife, Alana, of Springfield; three step-grandchildren, Lauren Besore, Stephanie Lanham and Gavin Murphy; and four step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday evening, Feb. 8  (today) at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Stevens, pastor of the Springfield Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Inurnment will be in the Lexington Cemetery.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements where visitation will be from 5 until 7 today.
