Laura Beth and Jay Nichols of Louisville announce the birth of their son at 11:47 p.m. Nov. 2, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East.

John Ross Nichols weighed 8 pounds and was 20.5 inches in length.
Maternal grandparents are Tillie Polin, Robbie and Bonnie Polin of Springfield.
Paternal grandparents are Katherine and Stephen O’Bryan of Gilbertsville, Ky., and James and Holly Nichols of Metarie, La.
Great-grandparents are Tillie Eddleman, Laura Polin and Mildred Nichols.
