Blake Hoppes back in action

In recent Blake Hoppes youth football league action, the kindergarten-through-second-grade Springfield Eagles lost to the Campbellsville Ravens 36-0 on Sept. 27, before falling to the Campbellsville Vikings, 18-14, this past Sunday.

The third-fourth-grade Springfield Colts also took a loss on Sunday, losing to the Lebanon Cowboys by a touchdown, 13-6.

The fifth-and-sixth-grade Springfield Steelers were off the past two weekends, and will return to the field on Sunday.
