The Washington County Board of Education members met in Executive Session to finalize the evaluation of the performance of Superintendent Robin Cochran on Monday, Aug. 15, 2011.

Consensus of the board is that Mrs. Cochran’s performance continues to be proficient and admirable, earning excellent to outstanding ratings.   Strengths highlighted included her ability to establish a strong and cohesive instructional team, details toward modeling instructional leadership, the ability to secure additional funding for the district, rapport and relationship building with all stakeholders and increased commitment to overall student and employee achievement.  Additional praise was noted toward the Washington County School District team for attracting and engaging staff and students.  District goals from the recently approved commitments are being developed and are connected to continued student and employee achievement, leadership capacity building with administrators, and establishment of venues for public voice.
Cochran’s salary was not re-negotiated, and she continues to work under a contract that provides $109,065; however, the board of education members were agreeable to the reimbursement for the use of her personal vehicle for school use.
