After missing 14 days so far this school year due to inclement weather, the Washington County School Board members voted Monday night to have classes in session the first two days of what had been scheduled as spring break.
Following the decision, classes will now be in session on Monday and Tuesday, April 4-5. Students will still receive three days of spring break, and there will be no classes on April 6-8.
The board discussed the possibility of using Memorial Day as a make-up day, but did not at this time. According to Chad Willis, director of pupil personnel for the school district, if another day is missed due to weather, then classes will be in session on Memorial Day to make up that missed day.
The last day of classes for students will be Thursday, June 2, and graduation for Washington County High School will be Friday, June 3.
