Boys’ golf tops Cville, Taylor County

Washington County boys’ golf traveled to Campbellsville on Thursday to take on the Tigers, as well as Taylor County, and the Commanders came home with a victory with a team score of 178. Taylor County finished eight shots back at 186 and Campbellsville rounded out the field at 200.
Thomas Pettus led the way for the Commanders with a score of 39, while Michael Wheatley contributed a 43. J.P. Cecconi shot a 47 on the day, followed by Seth Robinson’s 49 and Luke Mattingly’s 50.

Washington County previously faced Marion County, falling to the Knights 170-191, and came up short on the road at Green County 181-202.

The boys’ and girls’ teams will both be action again on Monday at Woodlawn Country Club in Bardstown to take on the Tigers, before the girls return home on Thursday to host Green County.
