The 2008 Washington County football season came to an end on Friday night as the Commanders fell to Green County 52-24 in Greensburg. The Commanders finish the year with a 4-7 record.
It was an off night for the WC offense, who never seemed to build any momentum during the game. WC senior quarterback Joe Joe Simms threw seven interceptions in the game and the defense gave up a lot of ground.
The Dragons, now 9-2, advance to face Danville next week in week two of playoff action.
