Hart County wanted to spoil the night for the Washington County Commanders last Thursday night, but that’s just not how it worked out for the Raiders. With seconds to go, WC senior Joseph Hamilton hit a clutch three-point shot to tie the score and send the game to overtime.

But one OT wasn’t enough to settle this battle, as the Commanders forged ahead in the second OT and came away with a 59-54 road win in Munfordville.

“We jumped out on them early, but they battled back, and by half-time, they had a nine-point lead,” said head coach Russell Burkhead. “I just told the kids at the half to keep battling and battling, and they did, and Joseph hit a big three at the end of regulation, and then to win in double overtime. For everybody that was there, it was a really exciting basketball game.”
