DUI accident on Mt. Zion Road

One injured, flown to Louisville

Timothy Carney, 29, of Springfield, was arrested and charged with second-degree/aggravated DUI on Saturday night and lodged in the Marion County jail following an accident that left one passenger injured, according to Kentucky State Police.

Carney was traveling south on Mt. Zion Road about three miles south of Maud when he lost control of the 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck he was driving due to ice on the roadway.

The truck “traveled up an earth embankment and overturned,” according to the accident report.
