With a shortfall of occupational taxes expected next year, the Washington County Fiscal Court is looking for ways to cut back.
“We've got to trim some budget somewhere,” said Judge/Executive John A. Settles. “Occupational taxes are one of the greatest income generators that the county has and I think we can all understand that income to the county is going to start going down.”
