Recently the Kentucky Association for Economic Development (KAED) held the  2011 annual conference in Paducah.

During the three-day conference, KAED announced its 2012 Board of Directors, and recognized several of its members for their service to their communities and their commitment to economic growth in Kentucky.
Elected to the position of secretary/treasurer  for the 2012 Board of Directors was  Hal B. Goode, Springfield/Washington County Economic Development Authority (SWEDA).
Goode, executive director for SWEDA, was elected director for KAED in 2008.
Goode was also awarded this year again with the KAED Founders’ Award,  which recognizes those members who actively pursue their own and their fellow members’ professional development through KAED activities.
“KAED remains committed to being the voice of strong economic development practices in our state. Hal has been a dedicated member and we look forward to his continued service as secretary/treasurer for our organization.  We are proud of our membership and look forward to growing and serving Kentucky in 2012,” said KAED President/CEO Mike Mangeot.
