Harrodsburg man shot in Springfield on Sunday

A man was airlifted after a shooting at Hilltop Court in Springfield on Sunday, according to a news release from Springfield City Police.

Jason Pyles, 28, of Harrodsburg, was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital, with apparently one gunshot wound to the left torso.  
According to police, there was an apparent altercation between the victim and another individual which resulted in the shooting.  
On Monday evening, Springfield Police announced that Jordan T. Young, of Springfield, a suspect in the shooting, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Springfield City Police Chief Jim Smith said the investigation was ongoing and more arrests could result from the shooting.
The University of Louisville Hospital listed the victim status as of Monday morning as stable.
The investigation is on-going and the Springfield Police Department is actively pursuing all leads in this case.
