Kentucky Educational Television is coming to Springfield!
KET will have a camera crew in town today to film one of its “Our Towns” segments.
The crew will arrive around 7:30 a.m., and spend the day with local officials. The segment will focus on Main Street, its shops and dining, the community’s Lincoln heritage, the Lincoln documents, the 1816 court house, St. Catharine College, the Central Kentucky Community Theatre, and more.
With so much to cover, it’s hard to imagine how KET will select what will be used, but the final segment will air for just under two minutes.
Circuit Judge Dan Kelly will work with the KET crew for the interviewing process about the community.
City officials want to encourage everyone to help portray the community in the best light possible, and populate local shops, sidewalks and the downtown area, especially around the noon hour.
The completed segment on Springfield is expected to air in the fall.
