The St. Catharine College women’s basketball team split two games last week. After losing at home to Alice Lloyd on Tuesday, Lena Bramblett’s Patriots traveled to Owensboro on Saturday where they beat Brescia. The Patriots are now 4-4 for the season.

“On Tuesday I thought we looked tired for the first time,” said Bramblett whose team fell 65-53 to Alice Lloyd. “Our schedule has been tough in November. We just haven’t maintained the consistency that we need to have in every game.”

Courtney Milam led three players in double figures against Alice Lloyd. She had 19 points while Erin Rogers and Iona Caulder had 11 and 10 respectively.

Saturday at Brescia the Patriots got back on the winning track with a 60-51 victory.

The St. Catharine women will travel to Thomas More College this weekend to play in the Julie Costello memorial Classic. Friday they play Calvin College and Saturday they play Center College.
