Defining the word "coach"
Webster’s Dictionary defines a coach as “one who instructs or trains, especially one who instructs players in the fundamentals of a competitive sport and directs team strategy.” It also defines a teacher as “one whose occupation is to instruct.” So really, there isn’t much difference between a coach and a teacher. Whether in a classroom or on the field of competition, there are lessons to be learned and instructors must show as much patience and dedication as the students.
