I was flipping through the 72,548 channels I apparently have on my satellite the other day and airing on every other “sports” channel was something to do with playing poker. Yes, the card game called poker.

Did I miss the hiccup in the space-time continuum that allowed card games to be categorized as sports? When did this temporary lapse in judgment take place?
