Library announces adult reading program

-A A +A

“BAZINGA! Literary Elements” is the theme of the Washington County Public Library’s Adult Reading Program combining science and literature in a variety of programs sure to pique your interest. Don’t let the kids have all the fun in the summer. Come enjoy our evening adult programs where you will find yourself soaring through the air with educator Brian Walker as he entertains you with “Weather and Wings,” recycle those unused books with a remarkable adult craft, “Letter Perfect Vases,” improve your landscaping with a garden you can eat when Dennis Morgeson discusses “Edible Landscaping,” lively book discussions and finally a stargazing night with us.

Registration for “BAZINGA! Literary Elements” begins on Saturday, March 1 and continues six weeks to Saturday, April 12. Come in and fill out a registration card for your first chance to have your name placed in the prize drawing box.  Fill out an entry card for every book, e-book or magazine read and every audio book listened to. You also will get an entry card for going to our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Washington-County-Public-Library/25990913..., and telling us about what you read.

All patrons 18 and older can register to participate. Bookmobile patrons ask for your registration and entry cards at the next delivery.

Weekly drawings will be held for gift cards, while the final drawings for Book Lover Bags and a book of gift cards, as well as the Grand Prize of a Kindle Fire HDX for the person who reads the most will be held on Saturday, April 12.
