It’s been a wild week at Idle Hour Park as Little League action clicks into high gear.

The 9-10-year-old Reds are red hot, winning all four of their games last week. Reds pitching has been solid, with D.T. Yocum earning two wins and a no-hitter from Garrett Floyd on Monday in a 14-0 shutout over the 0-7 Marlins.

The 9-10-year-old Cubs aren’t far behind as they won three of four, with their lone loss coming against the Reds.

The 11-12-year-old Reds are a game up on the Mets, while both teams got two wins last week. Adam Smith smacked a three-run home run to power the Reds past the Cubs on May 19.

Both the 11-12-year-old Cubs and Red Sox dropped a pair of games to fall to 2-4 and 1-5 respectively.

There are still plenty of games left and the action at Idle Hour will only intensify as the season progresses.
