Local jobless rate 1.9 percent above state’s average

The numbers aren’t good in looking at the unemployment rate in Washington County, as well as others in the Lincoln Trail Area Development District.
The Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet released statistics this week showing that 99 counties in the state saw decreased unemployment numbers from May 2010 through May 2011. Washington County was not one of those counties.
