Another good group of Boosters met last week to enjoy soups, sandwiches and desserts.
We also enjoyed our regularly scheduled silent auction. There were nice items to sell, ranging from desserts to clothing. The auction helps to fund some of our Boosters projects and also enables us to secure some nice items at a bargain price.
Bro. Charles Knecht, Kenneth Riley and Sam Stumph all have November birthdays, so they went to Frankfort last week to eat out and celebrate their special day.
Bro. Knecht led us as we remembered the sick in the area. Those mentioned were Jeanie Lanham, Billie Ann Riley, Brenda Stevens, June Shewmaker, Marty Hatchett, Margaret Benedict, Shelby J. Kiff, Hope Haydon, Cannon Lay, Maeola Shewmaker and Dot Davis.
We also extended our sympathy to the family of J.M. Pike.
It hardly seems possible that our annual Mackville Christmas program and dinner is fast approaching. This year’s entertainment will be provided by Allison Durham Speers. She is a well-known Christian singer who has appeared with the Gaither’s and other gospel and Christian groups.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for this special event scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Mackville Community Center.
