A Louisville man died Saturday while participating in a local biking event.
William Hash, 60, of Louisville, was riding in the Mayes Creek area of Washington County when he collapsed.

According to reports, the man was riding with his son-in-law, who noticed Hash was slowing behind him. Hash then collapsed and was not breathing. Communication on emergency frequencies indicated that CPR was performed on Hash for some time with no success before he was transported to Spring View Hospital.
Marion County Coroner Dick Moraja said Hash was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1:06 p.m. Saturday. According to Moraja, Hash had a history of a heart condition, and he said the cause of death is believed to be natural, and possibly the result of a heart attack.
