Contemplative Prayer Day
The monthly Contemplative Prayer Day at St. Catharine Dominican Motherhouse will NOT be held in March.
The next Prayer Day will be April 21, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The day includes centering prayer sessions, meditative walking, silence, a presentation on St. Therese of Lisieux, the Little Flower by Sr. Mary Otho Ballard, OP, discussion on the presentation, personal prayer and a blessing.
Bring a bag lunch. Everyone invited.

Johnson Chapel Church, 300 East High Street, will host a Lunch Fish Fry on Friday, Mar. 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Red Cross will host a blood drive at St. Dominic School on Sunday, Mar. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fried Chicken Lunch
Washington County Industries (WCI) will be having a fried chicken lunch on Thursday, Mar. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at WCI, 324 E. Main Street to benefit programming for people with developmental disabilities in Washington County.

Finchville Ruritan Club is having a fish fry on Friday, Mar. 9 from 5-8 p.m. at the Finchville Community Center.
Saturday, March 10
Teresa Tedder Cantata
Mary, the Eternal Maternal, a dramatic cantata composed by Teresa Tedder, will be performed on Saturday, March 10 at 8 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Springfield, and on Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at St. Rose Church, also in Springfield.
Ms. Tedder, who will conduct both performances, is conductor of the Mid-Kentucky Chorus and musician-in-residence at St. Catharine College.
The 50-minute piece is a musical meditation on the motherhood of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Both events are open to all.

There will be a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 11 at St. Dominic Parish Community Center/Gym.
All proceeds go to St. Dominic Athletics Department.

My New Kentucky Home Habitat for Humanity “Tasting Bash” will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Great Hall at My Old Kentucky Home State Park.

Managing Your Meals
Managing Your Meals will be held Monday, Mar. 26 at the Nelson County Civic Center (use the back entrance).
Initial Class will be 9-10 a.m. with Follow Up Class from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
These classes will be conducted by a registered dietitian or nurse.
