Thursday, June 21
Religious Freedom
Francis J. Manion, counsel for the American Center of Law & Justice, will speak at St. Rose Church on Thursday, June 21 at 7 p.m. on current challenges to religious freedom in the United States. All are invited.  Light refreshments afterwards.

Southern Gospel Quartet
The Inspirations Southern Gospel Quartet from Bryson City, N.C. will be in concert Thursday, June 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Willisburg Christian Church. Everyone is welcome.

Friday, June 22
Wrestling Show
Mackville Community Center will be hosting a wrestling show on Friday, June 22. Show time is 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Concessions will be available. The show is family friendly for all ages.

Saturday, June 23
Sports Physical
There will be a health and physical day for students attending St. Dominic School and participating in sports on Saturday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to noon in the church basement. Please bring a copy of your insurance card.

Gospel Sing
There will be a gospel sing at Cumbo’s Old Gospel Barn, 11286 Louisville Road, Cox’s Creek at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23. Music by Heart and Soul and the Cumbos. Admission is free. Everyone is welcome.

June 23-24
Amateur Radio Club
The Wilderness Road Amateur Radio Club will be demonstrating amateur radio at the Kentucky National Guard Armory, 482 Stanford Ave., Danville, from 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23 until 2 p.m. Sunday, June 24.

Sunday, June 24
Maud School Reunion
The Maud School Reunion will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, at New Hope Baptist Church. Potluck lunch will be served.

June 24-29
Gospel Meeting
There will be a gospel meeting at Willisburg Church of Christ at 7 p.m. each evening, June 24-29. The speaker will be Gary Sandusky. Come study with us.

Tuesday, June 26
WC Retired Teachers
The Washington County Retired Teachers will be meeting at the home of Corky and Norma Jean Yankey, 314 Reservoir Lane, on Tuesday, June 26, at 6 p.m.  A light meal will be served.

June 26-28
St. Dominic VBS
St. Dominic Church will be having Vacation Bible School June 26-28 from 9 a.m. - noon each day. All children ages 3-12 are welcome. For more information please call 336-3569.

Summer Reading Program

Thursday, June 28
Annual Rabies Clinic
The WC Health Department, in cooperation with the Springfield Animal Clinic and WC Fiscal Court, will hold its annual animal rabies clinic on Thursday, June 28, 5-7 p.m. at Washington County High School. Cost of vaccination will be $3.50 per animal for WC residents only, $7 for out of county animals. Cash only will be accepted. This will be the only clinic this summer and only cats and dogs will be vaccinated. The animal will receive a vaccine that is good for one year only.

Concealed Carry Class
A concealed carry class will be Saturday, June 30 at 9 a.m. until completion. The class is offered by The Dept of Criminal Justice Training. For more information call 859-332-7728 or 859-583-5716. Jimmy Elliott is the instructor.

Yard Sale
The House of Hope will be having their annual yard sale on Saturday, June 30 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. across from the Farmer’s Market on Depot Street. Lots of items to choose from at a really great price. Not just baby items but household items, clothing, computer components, misc items, and much more. Honoring our Veterans
The City of Springfield will host the annual Independence Day Celebration on Tuesday evening, July 3 in Court Square. Veterans will be honored at the annual parade starting at 7 p.m. The Bluegrass Corvette Club will provide transportation for veterans in the parade. Veterans who wish to ride in the Corvettes are asked to call 859-336-5412, ext. 2 to insure enough cars are provided.

Class of 1962 Reunion
