Springfield Halloween
Downtown Springfield will be observing Halloween “Trick or Treat” on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 4-5:30 p.m. Residential hours are from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Mackville Halloween

The city of Mackville will be observing Halloween “Trick or Treat” on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m.  Participating residents will turn on a front porch light.

Willisburg Halloween

The city of Willisburg will be observing Halloween “Trick or Treat” on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m.

Springfield Nursing & Rehab Halloween
The Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center (420 E. Grundy Ave.) will be observing Halloween “Trick or Treat” on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 4-7 p.m.

4-H Yard Sale

Items will be accepted for the 4-H yard sale beginning Thursday, Oct. 31.  No clothes please; only baby clothes will be accepted.  The yard sale will open at noon on Friday, Nov. 1 and 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov.2.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Fall Festival

A fall festival will be held at the Springfield Baptist Church, Family Life Center, on Oct. 31 from 5:30-7 p.m.  Everyone is invited.  There will be lots of goodies.

Happytown
The Temple Baptist Church is hosting “Happytown”, a free Christian alternative to Halloween.  This event will be at the church Oct. 31 from 6-7:30 p.m.  Call 859-336-9202 for additional information.

Friday, Nov. 1

Rosary Heights Women’s Club
The Rosary Heights Women’s Club fall banquet will be Nov. 1 at the Holy Rosary Church.  A complete turkey dinner with dressing and gravy, scalloped potatoes, green beans, baked apples, cranberry sauce and homemade desserts will be served.
Carryouts are from 4-6 p.m. A sit down dinner with entertainment at will be at 6:30 p.m.  Call 336-9140 for large carryout orders.
All proceeds go to the Rosary Heights Women's Club.

Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy

Tasting Bash
The My New Kentucky Home Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity in Washington County is sponsoring a “Tasting Bash”, Thursday, Nov. 14 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the old Louisville Store, 101 Main Street, in Springfield.  Tickets can be purchased prior to the event at the following businesses: BB&T, State Bank, Mordecai’s or any board member.  They can also be purchased at the door that evening.  The proceeds will help a needy family obtain an affordable low-income home in Washington County.  Contact Sister Charlene Vogel at 336-9303 for more information.
