There will be two auditions for The Stephen Foster Story for our 2014 season. We are performing The Stephen Foster Story for the 56th consecutive season, and new this year will be “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”, presented by Salt River Electric. We are looking to cast anywhere from 20-30 kids for Charlie Brown, who will join members of our adult cast from The Stephen Foster Story.
Youth auditions, for “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”, will be Feb. 24, 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., at Bardstown High School for ages 6-16. Parents may call the box office at 502-348-5971 to request audition information.
Local adult auditions will be March 1, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Bardstown High School for ages 17 and up.

The Feb.28 meeting for the Mary Ministry will be having guest speakers answering questions about legal issues and concerns of single mothers. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Wesley Family Life Center, located on Main Street to the left of the Springfield United Methodist Church, and will begin with a meal and finish with a workshop dealing with different issues facing today’s single mothers. F4 (Faith, Food and Fun 4 Families) will meet March 2 following the morning worship service (noon) at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 1403 Tatham Springs Rd., Willisburg. Preschool Application Packets
Preschool application packets will be available beginning March 3 at the Washington County Board of Education Office or online at www.washington.kyschools.us, for anyone wishing to apply for preschool for the 2014-2015 school year. A four-year old who will not turn five before Oct. 1, 2014, or a three-year old with an educational disability may apply. Packets should be filled out and returned to the WC Board of Education Office before March 28. Screenings will be conducted in April by appointment only. There will be a piano concert on March 8, 7 p.m., at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, featuring Joanna Ximenes and Teresa Tedder.
Joanna Ximenes and Teresa Tedder began performing together as a piano duo in 2002. They have performed together in Brazil, Kentucky, Indiana, South Carolina and Tennessee. The added dimension of four hands at one piano is exciting and exhilarating not to mention that the visual aspect of duet playing is sheer fun to watch. Their repertoire covers a vast range of styles and composers, everything from jazz to European classics.
