Spring Soccer Sign-ups
The Marion County Youth Soccer association will have Spring Soccer Sign-ups Feb. 1 and Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at the concession stand at the soccer fields on Fair Grounds Rd. in Lebanon or you can print your registration and medical release form from our website http://www.mcys.webs.com/ and mail to the address listed on the form. Please note: if they played for Marion County Youth Soccer in the fall, they do not need to register, as they will continue on their same teams to play in the spring.
 
Mary Ministry

The February meetings for the Mary Ministry are Feb. 13, with a theme about healthy relationships, and on Feb. 28 there will be guests speakers answering questions about legal issues and concerns of single mothers. Meetings start at 6 p.m. in the Wesley Family Life Center located on Main Street to the left of the Springfield United Methodist Church.  Every meeting begins with a meal and finishes with a workshop dealing with different issues facing today’s single mothers.  Childcare is provided, and the meeting is open to all single mothers at no cost.  Please call Teresa Miller at 859-805-0757 for more information.

Community Dinner
Springfield United Methodist Church will host a Community Dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 6:30 p.m. at the Wesley Family Life Center located at 301 East Main Street (across from the Library).  The dinner is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.  

Computer Basics
Come to the Washington County Public Library on Feb. 5 at 9 a.m. to learn the parts of the computer and to move around in Windows.

Thursday, Feb. 6

Edible Love

If you have someone special or maybe a sweet tooth, come decorate Hershey Kisses into a lovely arrangement of flowers that you can eat. This will be held at the Washington County Public Library on Feb. 6 at 3:30 p.m. for ages 9-17.

FAFSA Workshop
Washington County High School will have a FAFSA Workshop on Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school library.

Night of Knights

St. Dominic School Second Annual Night of Knights will be Feb. 8 at the Parish Community Center. Social Hour will be at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and silent auction at 7 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 9

Loretto Motherhouse
There will be a piano concert at Loretto Motherhouse on Feb. 9 at 3 p.m.  Gabrielle Manion will play works by Beethoven, Debussy, Brahms, and Gershwin.  All are welcome.  Admission is free.

American Red Cross Blood Mobile

The regular visit for the American Red Cross Blood Mobile will be on Monday, Feb. 10 from noon – 5 p.m. at the Family Life Center at Springfield Baptist Church.  There is a great need for blood, because some blood drives have to be cancelled due to bad weather, so please come to give a gift of life.

Ky Public Retirees Meeting
Kentucky Public Retirees, Lincoln Trail Chapter, will hold its monthly meeting Monday, Feb. 10 at Ryan’s Family Steak House in Elizabethtown, Ky.  Ryan’s is located at 1034 Executive Drive.   The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. EST with lunch.
Touch of Class will provide musical entertainment.

WCHS Baseball Boosters
Washington County High School Baseball Boosters will have a chili supper/silent auction on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. during the WC basketball senior night at the high school cafeteria. WAGS meeting

WC Autism Group
The Washington County Autism Group will be hosting their fifth annual event on April 26 at The RIver of Life Church from 11a.m. -3 p.m. This event is used as a way to raise Autism Awareness and funds used to help the families and children in our area affected by Autism and other ASD’s. The event is free.  There will be games and activities for children, many vendor booths, autism information booths, concessions, door prizes, raffle, silent auction, recognition ceremony, and a walk if weather permits.
