Who Are You?
“Who Are You?” will be presented at the Washington County Public Library on Wednesday, July 24 at 1 p.m. for the Tween/Teen Summer Reading Program. There will be palm reading and find out what the stars have ahead for you. Ages 8-17. Registration required. Call 336-7655 for more information.

Summer Reading Finale
The summer reading finale will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at the Lebanon Aquatic Center. Splish and splash in the pool to rinse all the dirt of the library’s summer

WCHS student Amanda Dewitt is hosting a tree planting ceremony in memory of Austin McBride on Thursday, July 25 at 10:30 a.m. It will be held at Washington County High School in the yard adjacent to Lincoln Park Road. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
Understanding Sports Concussions
The Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky, along with Bob O Daniel, will host an event entitled, Understanding sports concussions at 6 p.m., Thursday, July 25, at Angelic Hall in Lebanon. The event will help those attending to identify symptoms consistent with a concussion and how to properly treat the athlete who has signs of a concussion. Speakers will include Dr. Tad Seifert, a sports physician with Norton Healthcare who is an expert on sports concussions and brain injury. Dr. Seifert will address the symptoms of a possible concussion, the treatment for a concussion and the possible side effects of a concussion. This event is free and open to the public.
Malachi, age 4, is having a bake sale fundraiser to help his parents bring his sibling home from Haiti. Please stop at the Main Street Branch of Springfield State Bank to help. Bake sale starts at 9 a.m.
Vacation Bible School
Thompsonville Baptist Church will be hosting "God Makes Us Strong" Vacation Bible School on July 27. VBS will start at 9 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. The VBS will focus how we should wear the Armor of God. Senator Rand Paul Visit
Sen. Rand Paul will hold a Meet and Greet event at St. Catharine College Hundley Library on Saturday, July 27, 1-3 p.m. Sponsored by the Heart of Kentucky GOP. The event is open to the public.
A gospel sing will be held at Cumbo’s Old Gospel Barn at 11286 Louisville Road in Cox’s Creek on July 27 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and everybody is welcome. The Sextons, from Hardinsburg, and the Cumbos will perform.
The Mackville Community Center and the Mackville Lions Club in partnership with Primetime Wrestling will be hosting a wrestling match Saturday, July 27. Doors open at
7 p.m., match at 8 p.m. Special guest will be Bill Dundee. Concessions will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Mackville Community Center.
Southern Gospel Concert
The Legendary, Archie Watkins & Smoky Mountain Reunion, formerly the Inspirations Quartet, along with the Good Shepherd Quartet and the Sneed Family will be in concert at the Cave City Convention Center in Cave City, on Saturday, July 27 at 7 p.m. For more information, contact Jeff Sneed at 270-678-3575.
Manton Music Jamboree
The Manton Music Jamboree will be held Sunday July 28, from noon until dusk on the Holy Rosary Church grounds. Concessions available. No cover charge, just bring your lawn chairs and come on down. Proceeds go to Holy Rosary Church Manton.

Audition for Central KY Community Theatre Main Stage production of the classic “Frankenstein” will be held Monday, July 29 at 6 p.m. in the Opera House basement, Main Street, Springfield. Washington County Elementary School will have open house on the following dates: Kindergarten – August 1 at 5:30 p.m.; First through fifth grade – August 5 at 5:30 p.m.

Camp Calvary 3D Archery Tournament
Camp Calvary in Mackville will hold a 3D Archery Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 17, 9:30 - 11 am. Trophies will be awarded in the following categories: Class 1, Open class (men); Class 2, Hunter (men); Class 3, Traditional (men); Class 4, Women (open, hunter, and traditional combined); Class 5, Youth Hunter (16 and under); Class 6, Youth Genesis (16 and under). Cost is $20 for adults and $15 for ages 16 and under (includes lunch). Door prizes include a trail cam, gift cards and other items.
