The shelters at Idle Hour Park will not be available during June 27-July 19, due to the Little League state tournament.
Relay for Life Fundraiser
Washington County Relay for Life announces it has teamed with Oil Pros, Inc., located at 21 Lincoln Ridge in Springfield, for a fundraiser in support of the American Cancer Society. Oil Pros will donate 5 percent of sales to Relay for Life during the month of May.
Volunteers are needed at the Lincoln Legacy Museum. If you have any free time, even a couple of hours would be greatly appreciated. Call Lena Russell at 859-336-3232.

Relay for Life Committee Meeting
The next Washington County Relay for Life Committee meeting will be held Thursday, May 22, 6:00 p.m. at INOAC. All committee members and team captains are asked to attend. Anyone interested in being involved in this year’s event is invited to attend this meeting.
Friday, May 23
The Mary Ministry will meet on May 23, 6 p.m., at the Wesley Family of Life Center. The evening will begin with a meal, which will be followed by a short program. The next meeting will take place in September. All single mothers and their children are invited. Childcare is provided. Check out our Facebook page.

Cumbo’s Old Gospel Barn
Music by the Samaritans, the Sheltons and the Cumbos will be at the Cumbo’s Old Gospel Barn on May 24, 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

Memorial Day Service
There will be a Memorial Day service, 2 p.m, at Peter Cemetery, Mackville.
Decoration Day for the Battle Cemetery in Washington County will be on Sunday, May 25. Donations will be accepted for the upkeep of the cemetery.

Campground - Beechfork
Please join Campground-Beechfork United Methodist Church, Campground Church Road, Bloomfield, friends and family for a Memorial Day Service on Sunday, May 25, at 2 p.m., to honor the lives of those who have served our country and those loved ones who have passed as we reminisce and celebrate their lives.
Friday, May 30
WCHS graduation is scheduled for May 30, 7 p.m., in the High School gym.
Project graduation for WCHS seniors, juniors, and guest is also May 30. Students must have registration forms turned in by Friday, May 2. WCHS is also accepting donations for Project Grad. If you would like to contribute, drop your donations off at the WC board office, WCHS or mail to PO Box 262 in Springfield. We appreciate all donations.
Paint the Town Purple
Washington County Relay for Life is encouraging downtown businesses to help “Paint the Town Purple” during the week of June 1 – 7. Windows will be judged and a winner will be awarded a new traveling trophy to be announced at Relay for Life on June 7. Individuals can be a part of Paint the Town Purple by wearing purple on Friday, June 7.

Trent Family Reunion
The Trent family will have their Reunion on Saturday, June 7, at 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the St. Michael Catholic Church Parish Hall, 111 Church Street in Fairfield, Ky.
