The members of the Best Sew-ers In Town 4-H Club will be modeling their completed outfits at the annual Washington/Marion Co. 4-H Fashion Revue on Monday, May 6. This year’s event will be held at the Marion County Extension Office beginning at 6 p.m.  The public is invited to attend and admission is free to the event.

The 4-H Young Riders will be holding their first horse show of the season on Saturday, May 11 at the Willisburg Community Park, beginning at 4 p.m. This is a fun show that will have classes such as Egg and Spoon, Baby Bottle Race, Costume, Leadline, Ride a Buck and many more. 4-H Camp is right around the corner and Washington County still has a few remaining spots open.  Washington County campers will receive a $10 discount because of the success of the 4-H chili supper earlier this spring. Many 4-Her’s sold chili supper tickets and will receive an additional discount. Scholarships are also available for qualifying youth.

Washington County will camp June 25-28 at Lake Cumberland 4-H Camp.  For more information contact the Washington County Extension Office at 336-7741.

Included today are the results from the North Washington Elementary School Talk Meet held on April 19. The champions and reserve champions are now eligible to compete at the County-wide Talk Meet scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, 6:30 p.m. in the Hamilton Building at St. Catharine College. The county champion will advance to the District 5 Rally Day on Saturday, May 11 held at Elizabethtown Community College.  The Talk Meet Awards Trip has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 5 .
