Patriot golfers finish fifth at Georgetown

The St. Catharine College men’s golf team finished fifth in the six team field last week in a tournament hosted by Georgetown College at Cherry Blossom Golf Club. The Patriots finished with a 36-hole total of 634.

Wright State won the tournament with a 586. University of the Cumberlands was second at 590. Lindsey Wilson was third at 596 while Georgetown was fourth with a 622 total. West Virginia Tech was sixth at 735.

Adam Nolte and Alex Carey each shot a 77 on Monday as the Patriots carded a 314. Aaron Darby had a 79 and Brett Willett an 81. On Tuesday, Todd Bruington and Nolte each had a 78 while Darby and Willett shot 81 and 83 respectively.

Both the patriot men and women will play Saturday at Old Bridge Golf Course in a tournament hosted by Center College. The regular season concludes April 26-27 with the Mid-South Conference Tournament at Cherry Blossom.
