Police searching for Johnny Boone

    The United States Marshals' Office and Kentucky State Police are searching for Johnny Boone, a known member of the "Cornbread Mafia" who is considered armed and dangerous.

Friday night, KSP officers had set up a roadblock in Raywick in Marion County and were handing out flyers that included Boone's photo and information. According to the flyer, Boone, 65, is wanted for manufacturing more than 2,400 marijuana plants. He has an extensive criminal record, including being a member of the organized crime syndicate called the "Cornbread Mafia". Boone has prior arrests for felony drug charges, wanton endangerment, assault and weapons charges.

Boone is described as a 6'1, 240 pound white male. He has blue eyes and gray hair. He has the word "OMERTA" tatooed on his back.

The U.S. Marshals' office is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension of Boone.

Anyone with any information about Boone's whereabouts is being asked to notify the United States Marshals Office at (502) 588-8000. All tips are kept confidential, according to the U.S. Marshals Office.
