Quite an impressive run

I still remember Little League pretty well considering it was 12 years ago when I last stepped on a Little League diamond as a player.

Baseball may possibly be my favorite sport to cover as a sports writer, but it was in no way my strong suit as an athlete. My go-to move at the plate was watching a strike go by and complaining that the umpire didn’t know what he was doing. As effective of a strategy as that sounds, it certainly won’t get you on any all-star teams.
