SCC Sports Information

The recent weather may not resemble anything spring-like, but the athletic schedules at St. Catharine College indicate that it is time for spring sports to begin. And both SCC softball and baseball will do just that this week.

The baseball Patriots will open the season at home Friday with a nine-inning game against Grace College (Indiana) beginning at 2 p.m. The Bat Pats will follow that Saturday with a twin bill against Grace starting at noon. Tuesday, Luther Bramblett’s nine will travel to Barboursville to play Union College, ranked seventh in the nation in the pre-season poll.

Holly Smith’s softball Patriots were scheduled to open today at Bellarmine but that game was moved to Tuesday (yesterday) due to impending rainy weather. The Patriots will be at Alice Lloyd Saturday for two games followed by a twin bill Sunday at Union College. The home opener for the softball team will be Saturday, Feb. 28 when the Patriots host Brescia University.
