The St. Catharine Lady Patriots (3-11, 1-7 MSC) couldn’t overcome first-half shooting woes to fall to the Shawnee State Bears (9-9, 2-5 MSC) on the road 82-52.
SCC would like to forget the first half of Saturday’s contest at Shawnee State, as they were only able to muster 16 points on 15 percent shooting. The Patriots’ struggles started early, with the Bears tearing off a 16-0 run. They would go on to take a 27-6 lead before Stacie Shrout (Florence) was able to hit one of her two first-half shots from behind the arc with just over six minutes remaining.
