The most recent awards came to outfielder Shane Young and pitcher Travis Adams. Adams also received USCAA recognition as the Pitcher of the Week.

Young, a sophomore from Tates Creek High School, batted .500 (9-18) during the week in which he was selected for the honor. He had two home runs and 11 RBI’s. Young had a three-run homer in the Patriots’ 11-9 win over NCAA D-I Southeast Missouri State and ended the week with a grand slam in a 13-3 victory over Cincinnati Christian University. He scored nine runs in the week and stole two bases.

Travis Adams, an Allen County-Scottsville High School product, continued to dominate opposing batters who hold a .129 average against him. Adams has not allowed an earned run this season in 28 innings as the junior right-hander has compiled a 5-0 record.
