The first real games will not begin until the end of August, but those wanting a preview of the St. Catharine College soccer teams can get a look at both the men and women on Aug. 11.

The Patriot men will hold their annual Purple-Gold game that day starting at 6 p.m. The intra-squad contest will showcase the returning players of coach Tim Wolz, as well as the 20 incoming freshmen. Following that game, Paul Patton’s Patriot women will hold an alumni game, welcoming back St. Catharine graduates, who will play the current 2012 team.

The men begin the official season on Aug. 25, when they host Mid-South Conference rival Lindsey Wilson College, who last year won the NAIA national championship. The St. Catharine women begin the regular season Aug. 31 at the Freed Hardeman University Labor Day tournament. The first home game for the women is Sept. 6 against Midway College.
