STORM UPDATES: The National Weather Service office in Louisville is predicting tonight could be a dangerous weather situation for parts of Kentucky - particularly for the western half of Central Kentucky.
"A tornado watch has been issued for ... the western half of Central Kentucky until 10 p.m. EDT. This is a particularly dangerous situation. There will be a possibility for destructive tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds," according to a statement on the NWS Louisville website. "Be sure to monitor this situation closely and take shelter immediately if a tornado warning is issued for your area."
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch until 9 p.m. CDT for several counties, including Adair, Bullitt, Green, Hardin, Hart, LaRue, Marion, Nelson and Washington counties.
