Washington County 4-H Sharpshooters Club members competed in the State 4-H Shooting Sports Competition on Sept. 19-20.
Members of the archery, rifle and pistol teams competed on Sept. 19 at the Bluegrass Sportsman League located outside out of Wilmore, Ky. On Sept. 20, the trap team competed at the Kentucky Wildlife Management Center in Madison County.

Also competing in archery were Lucas Chesser and Dylan Gribbins. Also competing in 22-rifle were Ryan Saling, Will Carricoand Jordan Simpson.
Also competing in trap were Derek Barr, Stephen Mitchell, Stephanie Carey and Alex Townes. Competing in pistol were Russell Hardin, Jordan Simpson and Will Carrico. Congratulations to all of the members for representing Washington County.
The awards night has been set for Oct. 22. The first club meeting for new members will be Monday, Nov. 2, 6:30 p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office.
Washington County sixth and seventh graders should hold Saturday, Nov. 14 for Safe Night Washington County.
This year’s event will be held at North Washington Elementary School. Registration forms will be available next week along with complete details for the event.
