A Springfield man was “really lucky” to be in stable condition after he was shot in the shoulder on July 23 in Nelson County, according to Nelson County Sheriff’s Department Detective Jason Allison.
About 11:20 p.m., the ex-wife of Arthur Smith, 60, of Bardstown, called Nelson County Dispatch, claiming that Smith was outside her house with a gun.
Six minutes later, Mark Mann, 51, of Springfield, called dispatch again and said Smith had shot him.
