St. Catharine soccer split with Pikeville

The St. Catharine College men and women’s soccer teams traveled to Pikeville Saturday for Mid-South Conference competition. The Patriots came out with a 3-1 win but the Lady patriots dropped a 1-0 decision in overtime.

The women battled to a scoreless tie in regulation as goalkeeper Tabby Shirley recorded seven saves. But nine minutes into the extra period Pikeville converted a corner kick into a goal for the game winner.
