St. Dominic hosts first-ever Spell-a-Bration

St. Dominic School hosted its first ever Spell-A-Bration, an adult spelling bee, on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Fifteen teams competed to be crowned grand champion. The words ranged from easy to doggone difficult.
The grand champion winner was the Bethlehem High School Bees, which consisted of Mary Ann Downs, Lynn Hamilton and Sandra O’Hare. 
Second place was well-earned by BEEPurple and Gold, representing St. Catharine College, with team members Molly Smith, Connie L. Kays and Carroll Kelly.
Third place went to The Bee-Attitudes, which consisted of Sarah White, Angela Young and Nancy White Hale.
They also won for best team name.
Fourth place went to Wordstock, with team members Brooke Coulter, Teri Hale and Tina Borders.
Fifth place went to Eyesics Infantree, consisting of John Isaacs, Clay Stevens and Trish Cecconi. 
Best costume went to Bee-headed, which consisted of Laura Haydon, Nancy Carney and Frances Haydon. 
Team BeelzeBubbs were cheered on to win most team spirit.
