Washington County Middle School students will be initiating a project titled “Pay It Forward”.
The program is being sponsored by the middle school student council and Mr. Leo Lyver’s social study classes. Each student at the middle school will be performing an act of kindness within the community. The student will give a postcard to the person who received the act of kindness. The postcard states, “You have been touched on Pay It Forward Day. A good deed has been done for you in the hope that you will do a good deed for a stranger and pay it forward as well. Pass the card, keep the movement.” On the back of the postcard those that have been touched are asked to sign and pay it forward. After five people have signed the card, they drop it in the mail and return it to the middle school. We hope to do a follow up report on the number of cards returned and the number of acts of kindness. Watch for these cards and help us make someone’s day by Paying It Forward.
