Three vehicles and a boat were involved in an accident near the intersection of US 150 and KY 1030 Bear Wallow Road Friday, and a fourth vehicle came to rest in a ditch in an attempt to avoid the accident.

According to a report by Washington County Deputy Sheriff Jackie Robinson, Mark Maupin, 42, of Bardstown, was traveling west on US 150 in a 1995 Ford L9000 dump truck when his vehicle collided with the rear end of a trailer being pulled behind a pickup truck owned by Mama’s Touch Nursery of Springfield. The pickup truck, driven by Christopher Medley, 43, of Springfield, was also traveling west on US 150 in front of Maupin. According to the report, Maupin steered into the eastbound lane of US 150 in an attempt to avoid Medley’s vehicle and struck a boat trailer being pulled by a pickup truck. Colleen Krauss, 27, of Bardstown, was driving a 2008 Chevy Silverado truck that pulled the trailer and a large boat. The boat was dislodged from the trailer and came to rest against an embankment.

A fourth vehicle, which was not involved in the accident, ran off the roadway and into a ditch to avoid the accident. That vehicle was a cargo truck belonging to Main Street Furniture of Danville.

There were no injuries in any part of the accident.
