Experience Turtleman, Ernie Brown Jr. of Animal Planet’s “Call of the Wildman”, in his hometown, Lebanon, following the first annual Turtleman Trek 5K. This timed footrace will take you by several of the official Turtleman Trek locations, sites where episodes of “Call of the Wildman” were filmed.

Coming up Saturday, March 1, downtown Lebanon will be at the heart of the live action. Race day registration starts at 7:15 a.m. and the race kicks off at 8:30 a.m. in front of the Marion County Heritage Center, home of the world’s only Turtleman exhibit, followed by an autograph session with Turtleman and his best buddy, Neal James at 10 a.m.

Pre-registrants may pick up their packets on Friday, Jan. 31 at the Stillhouse Restaurant on Main Street from 5 to 8 p.m. At this time, there will be a spaghetti dinner and silent auction with autographed Turtleman memorabilia. The auction will close on Saturday at race time.

“Don’t be fooled by the name of the race, you may walk slowly at your own pace, or run competitively to set your own personal time,” said Sam Bach, Marion County Baseball Booster Club event coordinator.
