Two-car injury collision on KY 55

According to a news release from Kentucky State Police (KSP), Trooper Jonathan Houk investigated a collision that occurred at noon one-mile south of  Springfield on KY 55 at the intersection of KY 528. 

Clayton Matney, 28, of Campbellsville, was traveling south on KY 55 in a 2005 Chevy Colorado. He was stopped, attempting to make a left turn when he was struck in the rear by a 2011 Ford Escape  driven by Kathleen Linhart, 23, of Lexington.
Linhart’s vehicle rested upside down after the collision.
Springfield   City Police, KSP and Washington County Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were treated at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
